CutScape is providing an entire set of 35mm film quality assets shot on the RED Digital Cinema camera. Each shot is captured in three different quality settings, 4K, 2K, and reference videos in quicktime. 4K! That is higher grade than 35 mm film.

It is quickly becoming a format of choice for many high-profile, Hollywood directors such as Acadamy Award winner and Lord of the Rings trilogy director Peter Jackson; as well as fellow Acadamy Award winner and Ocean's 11, 12, 13 director Steven Soderbergh. Both directors have shot their latest films entirely with the RED ONE camera.

If you are worried about having a desktop editing system robust enough to handle the massive 4K size of the media, not to worry. One of the great benefits of the RED system is that the camera simultaneously records a reference quicktime that can be linked back to the 4K source footage. It allows you to edit in quicktime, 2K, or 4K. So, that frees you up to edit with lower res files until you are ready to online to whateve delivery format you need. For the purposes of this competition, you will be uploading a small quicktime to the website and then the winning entry will be onlined for broadcast.
